Arthur and Merlin's Room, Llanuwchllyn

There had been plans made earlier in this holiday, and Arthur was finally back to himself - and prepared - enough to go through with it. Which is why Merlin and Arthur had finally excused themselves and headed towards one of the bedrooms with en-suite.

Far out of hearing range.

Now, Arthur was fiddling with the restraints he'd gotten. Just strips of fabric, really, but Merlin wasn't exactly a pioneer of strength. "All right then."

He'd long since learned that trying the seduction routine on Merlin would only lead to tears, so he'd keep it simple.

Arthur shifted to accomodate for that, and tried not to think about how easily that went. "Sleep," he agreed, and paused. "So, was it what you were hoping for?"

"The restraints," he murmured, pressing a kiss to the corner of Merlin's mouth because it was there. Hush.

"It's not like you hadn't restrained me before," Merlin pointed out.

Arthur rolled his eyes, giving him a light shove. "Try and use that mind of yours," he muttered, "You know what I mean."

Merlin was smart like that.

"It was nice," Merlin replied. "Different."

"Different?" Arthur said, sounding a bit amused again. "Fair enough." He leaned his chin on Merlin's shoulder. And didn't at all snuggle closer. Or pull the blankets up.
