Room 303, Tuesday Morning

Finding his manservant locked in the cupboard and screaming yesterday had not been Arthur's idea of a good time. He wanted some answers, and he'd let Merlin out the window for the time being to get them.

He sat down on his bed, and eyed his roommate's side of the room.

If this whole thing was what he feared it was, he and Leto were going to have to talk about boundaries.

"I'm sure it is fashionable somewhere. And if not, more easily fixed than having them torn by birds." He smiled at Arthur. "And how do you know I don't do that to my sister?"

He wouldn't. Not to Ghani. Now, to Irulan, it might be funny, when he thought about it.

That was a very accurate observation. "None taken. It is a compliment, after all." He opened the ink jar and dipped the pen in it. "Is it that fight on Sunday that's still causing you pain?"

"He looks like he has," Leto replied, putting the pen to a clean sheet of paper. "I have painkillers."

Leto smirked. "I can see that."

If Arthur wanted him to believe that he should have to be a little less obvious.

"I wasn't in the mood," Leto replied. "And I did challenge Worf the day the rest of you were playing in the ball pit." Not that Worf had accepted the challenge, but still.

Not really. Worf did not fight children, and Leto had not been able to convince him that he was not a child.

"And how are your students doing?" Leto asked.

It pleased Leto to hear that Dinah was being taught again, but he knew better than to acknowledge it.

"Bad habits?" Asking about Alice was probably better.

"Have you met many... drunk beavers?" Leto had to ask.

"The figure amused me," Leto replied cheerfully. "And I already know about her instincts."

This caught Leto's interest. "Reno? He should be useful."

"As I said before, I will help you if you want assistance." Leto had noted the hesitation in Arthur's comment about Reno, and wondered what he had against the man. Nothing too serious at least, it seemed.
