Arthur still wasn't entirely sure how he'd come to this arrangement, except that she had been remarkably straightforward, which was both a novelty and meant she wasn't looking for any courting. One delusion-induced brush with elopement had been more than enough for him in his lifetime (well, most likely shorter than that, considering his position, but still) and so far, his efforts to avoid it had been... efficient.

As he stirred in bed, he hoped to God she'd be as straightforward about getting out in the morning, however.

Arthur, as Morgana oft-remarked, was such a romantic.

Jenny shimmied into her dress and tied the halter top behind her neck. "Morning. You can look now. Merlin, was it?" Internal squee goes here.

"That would be me," He confirmed, looking up after a small pause to make certain everything was covered. It didn't help as he already knew what she looked like with out the gown on.

"One of these days, you're going to barge into my room and get your head cut off," Arthur said, rolling his eyes up at the ceiling. "Jenny, my manservant. Don't pay him any attention."

"Oh, don't cut his head off," Jenny said. "I like the ears."

Merlin's ears went a bit red and he smirked, glancing up at her. "Thank you."

"They are quite sizeable," Arthur agreed, dryly, and sat up.

"Well, you know what they say..." Jenny smirked back at Merlin and sat down on the floor to rummage around under Leto's bed for her other shoe. "Ha!" She emerged triumphant, holding up a stiletto heel that looked like it could be used as a lethal weapon.

Actually, no. He'd never heard that one.

"What do they say?"

For once, they were in complete agreement.

"What?" Arthur asked, squinting.

"Big ears, big...heart," Jenny said with a wicked smirk. "Give me a hand up?"

Merlin gave her a confused look, but offered a hand anyway. He'd have to ask Dinah later.

"I suppose you could say that."

Knotting the blanket around his waist, Arthur slid out of bed. He should at least make an attempt to be chivalrous, even if she was entirely confusing on that point. He approached, ready to steady Jenny should she need it. "Right," he said.

Jenny took Merlin's hand and, holding her shoes in her other hand, rose to her feet. A bit in his personal space. While wearing that dress. Sometimes it was just too easy to tease. "Thanks ever so. Arthur, it was lovely. I'll just get out of your hair and let Merlin...do whatever it is a manservant does, shall I?"

Merlin flushed again, dropping his eyes and taking a step back. "Of course."

"It was lovely indeed," Arthur said, paying no real attention to Merlin's reaction. "Do let me know if you need an escort." Chivalry was far easier to do when she was cooperating with it.

"Oh, no, I'm just going up a floor." Chivalry was so cute. "And then back to bed." She opened the door and said over her shoulder, "Later."

Merlin nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. "Later."

"Later," Arthur said, pleasantly, and moved back towards the bed.

What? He was wearing the sheets, here.

Jenny left and shut the door behind her.

She needed a cigarette, a nap, and to call everyone she'd ever met. Possibly not in that order.

Merlin bit his lip from passing judgment. Though, at least she acting like most of Arthur's flings back home. "I'll get your trousers, shall I?"

"Please," he muttered, collapsing on the bed with a sigh.

Fetching him a clean pair and also some undergarments, Merlin placed the both on the bed next to Arthur before turning around to grant him some privacy as he gathered up the discarded clothing.

Arthur gladly took the garments in question and slipped them on. Hadn't been a bad night, despite Priestly's best efforts. "You really," he said, "Need to learn about knocking, Merlin."

"You'd walk straight into it," Arthur said, idly, and sat up.
