The phones were working. That warranted a trip out into the woods, under the pretense of going out for a ride with the Lady Morgana, to see how well their connection held up in Camelot. Contact some friends.
Arthur was wary; he'd clipped his Blackberry back to his hip where it used to be shortly after they entered the woods, but he hadn't actually stopped until they were far enough in that he could be sure no errant hunting party would run into him.
He slid off the horse, found a good place to stand, and rang.
