Room 325, Thursday Afternoon

He'd sent Francine a message the moment the idea struck; it was something for Support, after all, and Arthur wasn't going to flaunt around someone else's successes. There was little he could do outside right now, though-- at best, he could set off on a mission to chase the creatures down to their source later on.

Right now, though, he was thinking strategy. Staring out his window, squinting at the lay of the land he could get from there, and browsing through the maps for the rest of it.

He placed a few more calls and texts here and there to see what people were up to. Just in case.

The researches had best figure out what this was and soon.

[[ i am going to bed soon, so massive SP, but if you feel like he'd call/text and you want to respond, have at. likewise for if you want to visit; door's open ]]

"A pack-- a herd?" Dinah made a face. "Of ponies with, like, three monkey heads, and paws, roaming in the park, tearing the place up. Ripping trees out by the roots, throwing park benches... We spooked them into stampeding, and we tried to follow them back to wherever they're coming from, but..." She shrugged helplessly. "The fog was just too dense. Lost them. And a pack of human-sized lizards. They're getting really aggressive, Arthur, they went for us the second they saw us."

"The fog kept us pretty concealed until we were, hmm." Dinah tried to think back. "Forty, maybe fifty feet away? But I'm not sure they didn't hear us coming. Sounds echo in that soup. And there were three of us, Blue Beetle, me, and Blossom, and none of us got hurt. But we all have extra abilities, and are trained fighters. Plus the other two could fly and get us out of there at any second if we had to. Anyone else..."

Some part of Dinah's brain was noting that Arthur was discussing strategy with her like she worked for him... or no, more with him. And that she wasn't making an issue of the first part because the second part was true, and too serious for any kind of power play.

The rest was too worried about what might happen if things got even worse than hallucinogenic fog and roaming monsters. Because you just knew it would.

"I'm guessing the research people have broken out the books-- anything useful? Like if someone's doing this, or it's just a weird weather phenomena, or anything?"

"We were headed east from the park when we lost them," Dinah said, more chagrined than ever about that. Although short of riding one back to wherever it called home, she wasn't sure what she could've done. "Although for all I know, they doubled back. Anyway, so, sinister doctor with a crazier name, maybe on the island... although yeah, not seeing the monster connection there." She blew out a breath in frustration, and paused. "Aerosol? Like, spray can aerosol? That kind?" She was definitely checking on the research people had done soon, to get that clear.

Definitely looking it up. "Ohhh, boy. Goro I don't know, but yeah, 'saur'... close enough to our giant lizards. Well, human-sized lizards." She rubbed her eyes in frustration, then yawned. "Um. I should probably crash. Class might be cancelled or it might be a fighting field trip for Law & Order tomorrow. I'll let you know how it works out, if it's the latter." She sent him a concerned look, and pointed to him. "No going out without the gas mask, promise?"

"Never thought you were." Just, you know, insanely pig-headed, and convinced he was invincible, on occasion.

Dinah yawned again, shook her head, and said. "Right. Tomorrow. Getting enough sleep to fight tonight." She turned away. "You sleep too, Arthur."
