For some reason, Arthur was in a truly magnificent mood when he woke up.

He was mainly repressing the fact they'd have to go back to Fandom early tomorrow morning. (It would never be 'home'; if anything, this was home) So caught between sleeping in late and getting up to enjoy his surroundings some more, Arthur took the middle road and left his room halfway into the morning.

It was still a fairly beautiful morning in cold, cold Llanuwchllyn. Enjoy it.

"Now, Merlin," Arthur said, with a long-suffering sigh. "I never said you had to do any of the work now."

"...oh." Merlin squinted down at him anyway.

Arthur beamed at him innocently and threw an arm over his hip, brushing up to kiss him.

"You're very happy this morning," Merlin muttered against Arthur's lips.

Arthur would've snorted, but-- okay, actually, he did snort. "It's the last day here," he muttered, "Have to make the best of it."

By brushing his fingers back into Merlin's hair and kissing him again.

"Shut up," he shot back. "You're the one who picks flowers."

Yep. He rubbed at Merlin's hip, and smoothed a thumb over a cheekbone upstairs.

"Romantic," Merlin repeated, kissing the corner of Arthur's mouth.

"I thought I told you to shut up," Arthur muttered, without much fire, and pressed a light kiss back before licking briefly at Merlin's lower lip.

That earned him another kiss. "I like it," Merlin replied.

Arthur sighed, but offered up no further protest, skimming his fingers over the small of Merlin's back as he pressed closer, sucking on that bottom lip now.

"I hope you don't expect me to be able to do that again," Merlin replied with a laugh.

He gave the skin of one of Merlin's arsecheeks a quick poke. "I told you," he said, "I'm perfectly willing to do all the work. But only this time."

Like by trying to insinuate his leg between Merlin's.

"I don't even want to stand right now," Merlin grumbled, shifting closer.

"Good thing no one's asking you to," Arthur told him, leaning in for another kiss as he started to move his hips. Look, lazy.

"I would actually be quite put out," Arthur said, nuzzling at his neck, "If you stood up right now."
