"I still have my trousers on," Arthur reminded him, dryly, and shot a glance towards the bath.

And then reached over and yanked on the knot of Merlin's neckerchief. That wasn't your trousers, Arthur.

"I am not lazy," Arthur told him, flicking the second sock at the hallway. "I am a trained and dedicated knight."

"Who is remarkably lazy!"

"What do you know?" Arthur shot back. "You don't even know how to take off your shoes."

They had their own brand of foreplay, obviously.

There was a shoe flying at Arthur's head at that. "Lazy!"

"And now you're trying to maim me!"

Beat.

"I am not," he repeated, and moved in to tug on Merlin's shirt himself, "Lazy."

"Oi!" Merlin shoved at his chest for that. "Can't undress yourself. I'd call that lazy."

"I am a prince, you know," Arthur said, much maligned, and leaned back over to, er.

Actually help Merlin with his shirt. "I can actually dress myself."

"Can you?" Merlin asked, helping him along with that even as he rolled his eyes.

"Oh yes." Strangely enough, Arthur became thoroughly unhelpful once said shirt got to the last few inches over Merlin's wrists.

Instead, he leaned over to kiss him.

"You're--" Merlin kissed him back, struggling the rest of the way out of the shirt. "--not helping."

"I am, actually," Arthur informed him. Such as by tugging his zipper down. He was starting to get the hang of those things.

Which was all very forward. This was easier when they were under covers. Or in bed. Now it was all 'Look at me! I'm naked!'

"Really?" Merlin asked, not at all squeaking.

Arthur might have dipped his hand in for a quick rub against the crotch of Merlin's trousers, but that was barely a second before he was back to professionally pushing his trousers down. "Really," he returned.

"You--" Merlin was not at all struggling to keep his voice even. "Should get into the bath."

Arthur took a moment's pause, hands back up on Merlin's hips. Considering his expression. "All right," he said, and leaned back, pulling his own underwear down.

As soon as he'd stepped out of that, he was stepping into the bath.

Merlin suppressed the flail before quickly divesting himself of the rest of his clothing and trying to sneak up without being seen. Yes, covering his crotch the whole time.

Like Arthur wasn't going to look. Appreciatively, at that. Shut up. He was naked.

For Merlin's flail's sake, though, he took care not to look towards said covered crotch. "It's all right, Merlin."

He was flustered!

Arthur's eyebrow went up.

He reached out for one of Merlin's arms. "There's really no need," he said, lowering his voice to be as comforting as he could manage. "Despite what I may say about your apparent inability to eat anything...."

Merlin rolled his eyes. "It's just a bit nerve wracking to parade about starkers, you know. I'm sure you've trained to not notice it yourself."

"More than a bit," Arthur agreed, his mouth tugging up. "But honestly - and I'm only saying this once, so you'd better remember, you little twat - you have nothing to be ashamed of."

That earned him another eyeroll and a shove toward the bath. "I'll keep that in mind. Get in."

"I am in," Arthur told him, shamelessly yanking him along towards it. "Thinks he can boss me around."

"Hey!" The splashing wasn't the best. Nor was the attempted drowning.

It certainly amused Arthur, though. "It's a bath," he called, wrangling a little to get Merlin back up topside. "Not a lake."
