Room 303, Thursday Morning After Classes

Arthur had had to put on spandex for class. It had taken work. It had taken effort. And it had become completely impossible to get rid of, which explained why he stomped into 303 still in his suit.

Red and gold spandex looked nice on him, yes, like many things, but Up With It he would not put. He sat down on the bed and got to unlacing his boots as soon as possible while he waited for Merlin to show up and help him out.

Once the boy was gone, he'd be far more comfortable.

"I'm trying not to rip it," Merlin replied, pulling the zipper to his lower back.

Arthur grunted something that was definitely annoyed, but didn't actually say anything aloud. Bloody spandex. Bloody Edna.

"Better?" Merlin prompted, peeling it off one of his shoulders.

There was a brief flash of I can breathe, which was ridiculous, because it was his shoulder and not the rest of his chest just yet. He took a moment to roll the shoulder. "Sometimes, I don't understand the time."

"Only sometimes?" Merlin asked, careful to get his arm free. This he could do easily. No worries there.

"There have been things that made more sense," Arthur informed him, pulling his arm free the rest of the way as soon as he could. "I can see the advantages of making armor lighter, but this is taking it too far."

"And abandon the rather fetching look of someone dipped in wax?"

"Merlin, I always look fetching," he informed the boy, tartly, "I hardly need to forego breathing for it."

"You can't breathe?" Merlin made a noise and hurried up in freeing his next arm.

"I can breathe," Arthur said. The looks were just omnipresent today. He wrestled with the arm in question himself for a bit before the fabric finally got off it. "But it's not made very easy."

"I'm working as fast as I can!"

And there was suddenly quite a bit of bare flesh.

"How hard can it be to remove some clothing, Merlin?" Arthur asked of him, mostly unaware of said amount of bare flesh beyond, once again, the happy realisation he could breathe.

"As if you could have done it alone," Merlin snarked back.

He pressed down on the suit, forcing it down Arthur's sides. It was a damn good thing he was too annoyed to notice his hands practically being on bare hips.

Arthur rolled his eyes once, and expressively. He checked his wrists now that they were free.

"I'm sure I would've found a way," he said, "Maybe something involving the door."

"I would have liked to see that."

Was this glued to his arse or something?

"Unfortunately, you won't, as I've chosen to make due with my absolutely ridiculous manservant," Arthur told him, getting a bit of cheer back in his voice.

He was also of the opinion it might have been glued on when he wasn't looking.

Merlin rolled his eyes and pushed at Arthur's back lightly. "Lay on the bed so we can get the rest off."

Really, there was something to be said about not noticing crushes when you were too busy being annoyed.

"You mean you can't do it from there?"

Now he was just being a cheeky prat.

He did obediently go to lay back on the bed, though. The spandex seemed to be cutting off the flow of blood to his legs or something.

Merlin ran his hand down Arthur's leg, looking for a bit of give that he could grip. So far? Nothing but smooth fabric. "This is bloody impossible."

"I think the door's still looking for a job," Arthur said. It was like helping, except the complete opposite.

He did lift a leg in the end, though. What? Maybe it would help.

"Only if it's willing to put up with a prat for a boss," Merlin replied drly. "I'd offer to try magic, but..."

"Please, that door would die to have me for an employer," Arthur informed him, trying to yank on his own trousers from there. "But?"

"I'd rather not have to explain why you can't father an heir should it go wrong." Merlin was a cruel man.

"You are not getting your magic anywhere near that," Arthur ordered him, with less confidence than he should strictly feel.

He tugged on the leg harder.
