Room 303, Sunday Morning

Arthur did not awake to the feeling of having slept particularly well. His head wasn't pounding, which was a good sign, but his brain felt like it still wanted to seep out of his head into something nice and unconscious of the sweetest kind.

He was usually an early riser. He was trying to remember why he didn't feel inclined to be so right now.

Of course, that's when he opened his eyes and found two very curious blue eyes peering back at him. "You awake yet?" Gawain demanded. Yes, demanded.

Oh, hell. "Go back to sleep," he ordered.

"But sir," Gawain said, plaintatively, "It's time for morning exercise."

Arthur was going to murder the world.

"You're insulting my father and expect me not to take offense?" Victoria replied cheerfully. His logic was flawed.

"And your others?" Leto asked. "Who are they?"

"Yes," Arthur told Victoria, matter-of-factly, "Consider that my apology as well."

Clearly, it was very heartfelt. "I've got one with a woman I've never met before," he said, "Which was interesting. It's a strange day when the idea of having a child with Dinah is the least insane one."

His logic was flawed. That was interesting. Victoria was sure she could beat him in chess.

"And the third?" Leto asked. "And yes, I didn't think you and Dinah... But then there seems to be little logic to this." Like why he would have a child with Merlin.

She might be surprised. Or not.

"The third is--" Er. Merlin's.

Arthur had the decency to look just a little awkward. "Completely impossible."

Leto shot a quick glance at Hunith. "Impossible?"

Arthur followed his gaze. Rather... pointedly. "Yes."

Leto shrugged. "And clearly embarrassing, as you won't tell me," he smirked.

"Please," he said, "I don't let a child embarrass me."

And he wasn't embarrassed. Per se. That was the confusing part.

"Clearly not," Leto replied with a chuckle.

Arthur would take a page from Leto's book and ignore that. "Here's to hoping they'll be home come Monday."

"I have to say I do enjoy their company," Leto admitted, looking at the children. "But they will need to return to their homes."
